wall tilers in liverpool
The most skilled wall tiler contractors in Liverpool
Tiling a wall is a very common home renovation project that typically takes place in bathrooms or kitchens. In some cases and for luxury homes a pre-sauna room commonly has ceramic tiles as well for visual and practical purposes.
Having worked on probably over a hundred wall surfaces we can confidently say that we are one of the most trained and experienced wall tiler professionals in the Liverpool area.
We faced so many tricky challenges that you can trust us to have a builder’s arsenal for every head-scratching situation you can imagine.
- Preparing the surface for tiling
- Expert laying of the tiles
- Finishing touches and aftercare
01
Preparing the surface for tiling
Priming the work area for and getting ready for a perfectly tiled wall experience we have to make sure that any uneven areas of the wall, whether it is a hole/dent or an extra layer of wallpaper, are corrected and levelled.
Naturally, a messy surface makes a poor foundation for our masterpiece so we also make sure that the wall we’re about to transform is also completely smooth, dry and ready to be covered in the adhesive selected for the project.
By this time we would have calculated the number of tiles required, including a 10-15 per cent wastage for some unexpected breakage can happen and the extra "fat" is also required in case we have some challenging cuts to do as well.
Depending on your tile selection we will also recommend the type of adhesive we will need for the work. This is because some tiles are heavier than others which means we may need a stronger adhesive, lest the tiles can shift and look wonky. (we definitely want to avoid that)

Expert laying of the tiles
Once we have calculated the optimal starting point for our wall, we may also lean on gauging rods and other devices to ensure our measurements are correct and that the end result will be more than satisfactory for our tile rows.
Equally, you may see us use wooden battens to guide us in the correct vertical implementation of your selected wall tiles. This is especially important when tiling around windows or doors.
After careful examinations and measurements, we can start applying the adhesive on the surface and lay the tiles while ensuring that the spacers are meticulously applied to each one and that any excess bonding agent is removed.
It is generally our default policy and attitude to keep our workspace clean not only because it makes the process tidier, but also because it can save a lot of scraping in the long run.
For the corners or any more unusual, more challenging areas of the wall we can ensure that the most appropriate tile cuts are applied. This way the entire visual of the wall remains perfect and we utilise the available materials the most efficiently.

Finishing touches and aftercare
To give our walls an exceptional finish, we can apply a layer of silicone sealer around the edges. This will make the space in between your tiles virtually waterproof and highly resistant to mildew.
This topical application is especially recommended for humid spaces whether it is a bathroom or even a cellar.
Similarly to the grouting phase, a sealant finisher tool can be used to spread the material evenly around the edges.
And as for great aftercare, we recommend using cleaning products that are most suitable for tiles.
Whatever your challenge may be, we are confident that we are among the best wall tilers in Liverpool and we would welcome the opportunity to prove our dedication to you and your dream home project.
We won't let you down.
